I was facing the same problem, so I have recompiled it using the PR and verified that it fixes the issue.

In the process I found a different issue introduced by a recent change so I created a fix in PR 562 for that new one.

While there is no official release that includes the fixes, I created a deb file with these patches, just in case it can be useful to others:
